Downey AYSO’s U16 girls team won first place in the Founder’s Cup held recently throughout San Pedro, Torrance and Palos Verde. Downey defeated South Torrance, the Camarillo Flex team, and North Torrance to reach the finals against San Pedro, where they won 4-1.
