Crime Report

Friday, May 30 At 2:15 p.m., officers responded to the area of the Stonewood Shopping Center regarding a shoplifting report. Responding officers attempted to detain the suspect who ran away attempting to avoid arrest. Officers eventually arrested the suspect and he was booked for the theft.

 

At 12 a.m., officers responded to a business located in the 8500 block of Paramount Blvd. regarding a burglary investigation. When officers arrived, they found the business had been broken into and observed suspects running from the scene while others were driving away in a vehicle. After a short vehicle pursuit, officers captured two of the fleeing suspects and discovered burglary tools in their vehicle. The subjects were booked for burglary and transported to the Los Angeles County Jail. Detectives are investigating.

 

Saturday, May 31

At 3:30 a.m., officers responded to the 8600 block of Imperial Hwy regarding a robbery investigation. Officers spoke with the victim who reported he was robbed by a suspect he described as a male appearing to be in his 20’s, approximately 6 ft. 2 inches tall, thin build and wearing dark clothing with a mask. The suspect approached the victim, brandished a firearm, and then stole the victim’s necklace. Detectives are investigating.

 

Sunday, June 1

At 12 a.m., officers responded to the 13400 block of Dempster Avenue regarding a domestic violence investigation. Officers spoke with one of the involved parties who reported being threatened with a knife during an argument. Officers arrested the suspect and he was booked for assault with a deadly weapon.
