DOWNEY – CalMet, the city’s waste hauler, will be offering Downey resident free mulch this Saturday, Oct. 11, from 9 a.m. to noon. Residents can receive up to 32 gallons of mulch but must bring their own containers.

The giveaway will take place in the City Hall west parking lot. Vehicles should enter off Civic Center Drive.
