DOWNEY – Applications are still being accepted from those who would like to perform at Make Music Downey, Saturday, June 14. Make Music Downey is a free, public, music festival, and part of a June celebration in scores of cities around the world.

This year, the Main Stage will be at the Downey Civic Center, and other venues will be located in historic Downtown Downey.

Music will begin at the conclusion of the Tour de Downey bike ride and performances will be from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.  Last year’s event featured more than 60 groups spread among six venues.

All musicians/singers are invited to play: amateurs as well as professionals, jazz bands and Mariachi bands, chamber groups or ukulele groups, country music or hip hop.
