Thursday, Feb. 13At 8:00 a.m., an employee of the Arco Gas Station at 9093 Imperial discovered that someone had broken into one of the ATM machines used to pay for gas. The suspect(s) stole an undetermined amount of money. Detectives are investigating.
At 2:00 p.m., a resident returned home in the 8200 block of Gardendale and discovered that someone had broke in and removed miscellaneous electronics and jewelry items. Detectives are investigating.
Friday, Feb. 14 At 3:00 p.m., officers arrested a man who threatened to kill his ex-girlfriend while armed with a knife. The suspect fled his ex-girlfriend's home in the 11600 block of Gurley just before police arrived, but officers soon found him in a nearby neighborhood. He was booked for criminal threats and transported to the Los Angeles County Jail.
At 4:15 p.m., officers responded to the 9600 block of Lakewood Blvd, after receiving several 911 calls of gunshots being heard. Officers found a male deceased inside the business from apparent gunshot wounds. Detectives from the Department's Robbery/Homicide Unit are conducting a homicide investigation.
Saturday, Feb. 15 At 4:30 a.m., a woman attempted to run over her baby's father with a car during a domestic dispute in the 13100 block of Barlin. The woman also rammed her car into the victim's car several times before fleeing the scene. Nobody was injured and detectives are investigating. Information provided by Downey Police Department.
