SOUTH GATE - A free "cash for college" workshop for students will be held this Saturday, Feb. 1, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the South Gate campus of East Los Angeles College, located at 2340 Firestone Blvd.The workshop will teach students how to apply for a Cal Grant. There will also be optional information on immigration, the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, and Covered California.
