DOWNEY - Community leaders Bill and Katie Hare, along with the Downey Kiwanis Foundation, will be honored by the Downey YMCA during a gala event June 2 at the Long Beach Yacht Club.The 150-person formal affair is the Downey YMCA's signature awards dinner, which honors integral supporters of the Y and the Downey community.
