Sussman Middle School art students lent a hand to the American Cancer Society's fundraising efforts by decorating 150 bags for use in the luminaria ceremony which occurs at every Relay for Life event. These originally-designed bags will be illuminated after dark and are dedicated to survivors and those lost to cancer. They are available for a donation to the American Cancer Society.

Residents can attend the 24-hour fundraiser that starts June 1 at 9 a.m. on the Downey Adult School track.
