DOWNEY - Thousands are expected to attend the Downey Street Faire taking place this Saturday, May 4, near Downey High School.More than 200 crafters, businesses and organizations are slated to take part in the community event, now in its 20th year and sponsored by the Downey Chamber of Commerce. The event will be held along Brookshire Avenue, between Firestone Boulevard and 5th Street. In addition to hundreds of vendors, there will also be a centrally-located food court, live entertainment, a kid's zone with giant inflatable slides, and a car show featuring more than 200 classic vehicles.
