DOWNEY - The National Alliance on Mental Illness is offering a free 10-week course for persons who struggle with a mental illness such as schizophrenia, depression, anxiety, OC or bipolar.The course will cover diagnosis, recovery, coping skills, medications, successes and a customized relapse prevention grid. Classes are from 6-8:30 p.m. and begin June 12 at Downey United Methodist Church. Classes are free but pre-registration is required. To register, call Lauren at (562) 298-3002.
