DOWNEY - Calvary Chapel High School senior Courtney Pillow has received a scholarship to attend Northwestern College this fall.Pillow was one of 20 students nationwide to earn the scholarship. She was selected from more than 230 finalists who particiapted in a scholarship competition in January and February. Through interviews and essays, students were evaluated by Northwestern College faculty, staff and students on the basis of their potential for academic success, leadership and effective Christian service. Northwestern College is a Christian college of about 1,200 students in Orange City, Iowa. It was rated the nation's sixth-best baccalaureate college by Washington Monthly.
