DOWNEY - Downey High School is hosting its annual open house and "Future Viking Night" this Thursday, May 23, when prospective students are encouraged to visit the campus and learn more about the school.The day begins with a meeting in the gymnasium from 5:30-6:30 p.m., followed by open house classroom visitations and demonstrations from 6-8. Students and teachers from all departments and Career Technical Education (CTE) classes will conduct demonstrations and experiments in their classrooms and throughout the campus to showcase their program and their students' work. The Fine Arts Department will host its annual art show in the gym, featuring student work from all art classes. Downey High dance, jazz ensemble and advanced choir will perform live on the Rally Stage. Dinner will be available for purchase from Frantone's Pizza and Tacos Taco.
