DOWNEY - A bicycle safety education course will be offered at the Barbara J. Riley Community and Senior Center on Aug. 24 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.Offered by Metro and Bike San Gabriel Valley, the free course includes one hour of in-class instruction, one hour of parking lot practice and a one-hour bike ride. All participants receive a free helmet, lights, bike maps and more. The course is open to adults and each class is limited to 12 people on a first-come, first-served basis.
