Bette D. Richards, age 92, died in Bozeman, MT on Jan. 31, 2013. She was born in Whittier, CA on April 19, 1920 to Roy and Edith Dugas Dutton. She lived all her life in Southern California until she moved to Bozeman to be near her daughter in 1998. She graduated from South Gate High School in 1937. She raised her 4 children in Downey and was active in the Ladies Guild at St. Raymond's, played the organ and sang in the choir. Her children all graduated from Pius X High School. She worked for Los Angeles County for over 20 years as a secretary. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Roger and Arthur and her sons Thomas and John. She is survived by her daughter Mary Beth Proudfoot (Tom) of Bozeman, MT, her son Paul (Chris) of Los Angeles and her sister Patricia Beckerman of Long Beach, 9 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. There will be a Celebration of Life on Sat. April 20, 2013 at the Embassy Suites in Downey from 1:00 to 4:30 followed by a Mass at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church at 5:00. ********** Published: April 4, 2013 - Volume 11 - Issue 51
