Alice Clements was volunteer

LA HABRA - Alice "Jane" Clements, a longtime volunteer in the La Habra community, died March 4 in Fullerton. She was 90.She was born July 14, 1922 in Oak Park, Ill., to John Thomas and Grace Amelia (Dale) Miles. She married Charles Colvin Clements and together they had seven children: Michael, Judy, Mark, Gary, Linda, Brian and Jeffrey. Jane was raised in Illinois for a few years before her family moved to Southern California where she attended and graduated from Whittier High School. A homemaker, she became active in the community after her children were raised. She took a position with the Social Services office in La Habra and worked there for more than 20 years. She was also active with her church, Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in La Habra, and volunteered with the Gary Center and the La Habra Community Senior Services Center. She is survived by her children Michael Miles Clements, Judy Ann Mee, Mark Charles Clements, Gary Patrick Clements, Linda Carol Bedford, Brian Gerard Clements and Jeffrey Gerard Clements; 15 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband in 1989. A memorial Mass was celebrated Saturday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. A vigil service was held last Friday at the La Habra Community Center in the Grand Ballroom.
