DOWNEY - Local resident and businesswoman Barbara Briley Beard has been elected to her sixth term as president of Woman's Club of Downey.The club, now in its 112th year, recently installed its officers for 2010-11. In addition to Beard, new officers include Barbee Heiny, first vice president; Cynthia Deack, second vice president; Debbie Miller-Hernandez, third vice president; Loretta Wagner, treasurer; Patty Salgado, recording secretary; Linda Dong, financial secretary; Jean Barrera, corresponding secretary; Shirlee McDowell, rental director; Marjorie Saling, parliamentarian; Lynn Dietlin, curator; and Jane Hendricks, program chairman.
