Woman stabbed to death in Bellflower; relative arrested
A 31-year-old woman was found fatally stabbed in Bellflower, and a male adult relative suspected of killing her was arrested, authorities said Thursday.
Deputies were called at 8:53 p.m. Wednesday to the 9600 block of Rose Street, west of Bellflower Boulevard, where they found the victim, who died at the scene, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.
She later identified by the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner as Sandra Sahagun.
"Upon their arrival, deputies detained a male adult as a person of interest in the case," the sheriff's department said in a statement. "During the initial investigation, deputies discovered that the male adult person of interest was related to the female adult victim. Deputies subsequently placed the male adult under arrest for the suspicion of murder, and there are no outstanding suspects."
The man's name was not released.
