DOWNEY — Learn, watch and participate in a free Drones Day event this Saturday, March 4, at the Columbia Memorial Space Center.

Presented by the young women of the space center’s Girls in STEM Club, participants can learn how to fly a drone and watch a drone soccer game.

There will also be drone-related activities throughout the facility, indoors and outdoors, throughout the day.

The day includes presentations about the drone engineering and design process and a discussion about the sport of drone soccer with a top woman player.

Representatives from Sato Drone Soccer Team, the Fullerton Drone Lab, Rio Hondo College, the Long Beach Rocketry Club and Pilots & Drones will be in attendance.

The event is free and open to all ages. The event is from 10 am to 5 pm.
