DOWNEY - Volunteers will be at the county animal shelter in Downey this Saturday as part of their pledge to complete two hours of community service in exchange for two tickets to a Russell Brand and Sarah Silverman comedy show.Volunteers will hand-make decorations and wearable art to bring greater attention to shelter animals in need of permanent homes. In exchange, they will receive tickets to the comedy show "Love X-Change." The decorating event is from 10 a.m. to noon and will feature a Valentine's Day-themed adoption event. The county animal shelter is at 11258 S. Garfield Ave. in Downey.
