DOWNEY - Downey resident Richard Elliott was elected lieutenant governor of marketing in an election at the Toastmaster's Founder's District conference last Saturday.Elliott will spend the next year working to expand the network of Toastmasters clubs throughout the Founder's District, which encompasses east Los Angeles County and most of Orange County. Also at the conference, local club member Rene Estrada received the Distinguished Toastmasters Award for his many years of service and growth in the Toastmasters' public speaking and leadership program. The Distinguished Toastmasters Award is the highest award a Toastmaster can receive within the organization.
