DOWNEY -- The Gauldin Dolphin Fitness Club, composed of Gauldin Elementary School students, represented Downey in the 27th annual Race on the Base at the Joint Forces Training Base in Los Alamitos. The 5K marathon raises money for the Cancer Support Foundation. The Gauldin students donned camouflage T-shirts and Army face paint and were complemented by military personnel as they ran the five miles.
