The Downey Police Officers Association pledge their support for the city's Fourth of July fireworks celebration with a check for $2500. Cpl. Mike Pope (DPOA president, middle right) accompanied by Police Chief Rick Esteves (far left) and Lieutenant Jim Heckel (far right), presented the donation to Deputy City Manager Mark Sauter this week. Pledges now amount to more than $26,000 for the potential celebration.
