A dedication ceremony will be held Saturday, March 7, at Furman Park for new outdoor fitness equipment donated by the Downey Los Amigos Kiwanis service club. The outdoor fitness station is suitable for all fitness levels and is handicapped accessible. Once installed, it will be able to accommodate up to 21 people at the same time.

The dedication ceremony begins at 10 a.m. and features giveaways, refreshments, information booths, and more.

Furman Park recently received new playground equipment courtesy of Downey Kiwanis Club and the Downey Kiwanis Foundation. The city also installed a new walking trail last year.
