Soroptimist International of Downey was presented two proclamations at the City Council’s most recent meeting for its “Color Me Pink and Purple” campaigns to bring awareness to breast cancer and domestic violence. Soroptimist members in attendance included President Claudia Camarena and members Gigi Saab, Adria Jimenez and Dorothy Pemberton. Mayor Fernando Vasquez also thanks Soroptimist for their various contributions to the community of Downey.
