DOWNEY -- Socheata Phann, also known as Sochi, passed away on March 13 after a two-year fight with colon cancer. She passed away on her 25th birthday.She was born March 13, 1984. She is survived by her parents, Henry Phann and Ellen Thong; older brother, Chris Phann; and younger sister Nancy Phann. Sochi graduated from Downey High School and was attending UC Irvine. Services will take place Sunday at Rose Hills Memorial Park in Whittier. The viewing is from 9 a.m. to noon, and will be followed by the funeral service at 1 p.m. The family is asking for donations to help offset funeral costs.
