DOWNEY – Eileen R. Mathieu Delis, born in Chicago on Feb. 6, 1922, died Sept. 2 from the effects of old age. 

She was a longtime member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church and a member of its Women’s Guild. She also performed homeless outreach on Skid Row. 

She was predeceased by her parents, Harvey Mathieu and Florence Quilty; and husband, George Delis, in 2014. 

She is survived by her children, John, Bill, Kathy and Robert; grandson, Michael; and sisters, Dolores and Lucille. 

A memorial service will be held at Miller-Mies Mortuary on Sept. 7 from 4- 6 p.m., with funeral services Sept. 8 at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church. Fr. Robert Delis, her son, will officiate. 

Internment will be at Resurrection Cemetery in Montebello immediately following Mass.
