DOWNEY - Students who expect to take the SAT or PSAT this spring are encouraged to take a preparation workshop offered by the Assistance League of Downey.The workshops are offered over five Saturdays beginning March 23 and will prepare students for the SATs scheduled to be given May 4 and June 1. Cost is $50 (including text book) but the price increases to $70 on March 1. English instructor Kelly Stratford and math teacher Nanette Johnson lead the workshop, which is held from 8:30 a.m. to noon at Downey High. The workshop includes rigorous homework assignments.
