DOWNEY – Children ages 4-8 can receive a call from Santa Claus through Downey’s “North Pole is Calling You” program. The program is free and offered to Downey residents.

Santa will make the calls Dec. 16-17 between 6-7 p.m. He will have a brief chat with each child and “check with Santa’s workshop to see what he can do.”

Parents or guardians should fill out registration cards that asks for details such as the child’s name, hobbies, school, and holiday wish list.

Registration cards will be available Dec. 8-15 at the Parks and Recreation Office located at 7850 Quill Dr. The office is open 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. weekdays.

Completed registration cards are due by 5 p.m. Dec. 15. Parents with multiple children should fill out separate cards for each child and staple the cards together.
