DOWNEY - A one-day seminar covering safe boating habits will be held tomorrow from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church of Downey, 10544 Downey Ave.The course qualifies as a state court-ordered class, for boating insurance premium discount programs and for Nevada's required boat operator course for persons age 28 or younger. The class will be led by an experienced Coast Guard instructor. Materials cost is $45 and includes lunch.
