DOWNEY - Rep. Lucille Roybal-Allard (CA-34) congratulated members of the Southeast District Bar Association at its 46th annual installation of officers and awards banquet at the Rio Hondo Event Center in Downey on Jan. 31.The congresswoman thanked the association's outgoing president, John Bunnett, for his contributions, and also recognized many others, including Downey attorney Joseph Lumsdaine for being named the association's Attorney of the Year. The ceremony also honored incoming president Lillian Vega Jacobs, and Superior Court Judge Larry S. Knupp received the association's Lifetime Judicial Award. The association provides an attorney directory and referral service to help the public find an experienced lawyer for their legal problems.
