Rosalie Peters

July 24, 1940 to September 3, 2015

Rosalie Ann Peters, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and best friend passed away peacefully to be in the loving arms of our Lord on September 3, 2015, after heroically battling cancer and chrons disease for over 30 years. Rosalie was survived by her loving husband and best friend, Densell Peters, Sr. of 40 years, 7 children, 15 grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren.

On July 24, 1940, Rosalie was born to Nicholas Palermo and Dorothy Baum Palermo, who owned Nick’s  New and Used, which was once located on Imperial Blvd in the City of Downey from the 1960’s to about 2006 and managed  by her brother, David Palermo until his death.

Visiting the local thrift stores and cutting out coupons to share with others were enjoyment of pastimes. She was loved by many and always had a cheerful thought and smile to share.  With heavy and saddened hearts, we will greatly miss our Rosalie.

“Don’t weep at my grave for I am not there.
I’ve a date with the butterfly to dance in the air.
I’ll be singing in the sunshine wild and free –
playing tag with the wind while I wait for thee”.

(Author unknown however found in
Rosalie’s personal writings).
