Ronnie Fernandez was installed as the president of Gangs Out of Downey (GOOD) on Tuesday. He will serve a one-year term, stepping in for Tony Cristani, who wrapped up his second year.

Fernandez is a licensed clinical social worker with a Master of Social Work Degree from the University of Southern California. He has served as the Executive Director and CEO of the 10-20 Club, an early intervention organization that works with at-risk youth, since 2022.

He will be supported by his board, which includes First Vice President Cathy Godinez (Downey Razorbacks), Second Vice President Chief Scott Loughner (Downey Police Department), Treasurer Ray Mesler (Downey Federal Credit Union), and Secretary Stephanie Arroyo (Downey Police Department).

Following his official swearing in, Fernandez said he wished to focus on intervention, police support, and community engagement.
