DOWNEY — Rocket Fever, Downey’s annual rocket festival and the only rocket festival in Southern California, is returning to the Columbia Memorial Space Center on Saturday, Aug. 14, organizers announced. 

The festival features hands-on rocket-themed activities, including rocket building. 

Guests must pre-register on the space center website to attend. Registration opens Monday for Financial Partners Credit Union members and Tuesday to the general public.

The event is free and limited to 300 participants.
