DOWNEY - Whether you are new to the hobby or a veteran rocketeer, the Columbia Memorial Space Center invites you to its "Rocket Fever" event July 21 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.Admission is $5 or free for space center members. Visitors can enjoy interactive exhibits, observe rockets accelerated towards the clouds or build their own model rocket and watch it fly. There will be a free launch-viewing outdoors. All rocket launchers are subject to a safety inspection and launches are weather-permitting. Rocket-building classes are available for $10.
