DOWNEY –  The City Council has approved two major capital improvement projects for the Downey Civic Theatre to take place in 2016. 

Work began on Jan. 4 and improvements include lobby and restroom renovations, as well as the final phase of the theatre’s heating, venting and air conditioning (HVAC) system.

The projects are scheduled to be completed by the end of March 2016, and the theatre will continue to remain operational through the renovation period.
