DOWNEY − The Downey Relay for Life website is now live at relayforlife.org/downeyca, where residents can make online donations or sign up for the 24-hour fundraiser taking place May 30 at Downey Adult School. More than 44 teams have already signed up for the Relay for Life, which is a fundraiser benefiting the American Cancer Society.

“This is an easy way for everyone to join the fight against cancer,” said Dan Latham, the event co-lead. “Cancer has touched so many lives in our community. We want to find a cure and stop the anguish this disease can cause.”
