DOWNEY — The Downey Razorbacks will kick off registration for its 60th anniversary season at its Back to Football Night event on Wednesday, March 11, at 7 p.m. at the Casa de Parley Johnson House in Downey. 

After this date, registration will take place every Saturday beginning in April at Apollo Park from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. 

The league offers flag football, tackle football, and cheerleading to boys and girls ages 5-14. 

Registration includes trophy, league picture package, yearbook, and game socks. All equipment is provided on loan to participants. 

Payment plans are available and kids can sell raffle tickets to offset the cost of registration. No child is turned away due to inability to pay. 

Practices start July 27 and the season begins Sept. 12. All home games are played at Downey and Warren high schools.
