DOWNEY —  Downey Youth Football will kick off registration for its 62nd anniversary season at Back to Football Night on Wednesday, March 9, at 7 pm at the Casa De Parley Johnson House located at 7749 Florence Ave. 

After this date, registration will take place every Saturday beginning April 9 at Furman Park from 10 am to 2 pm. 

The league is open to kids ages 5-14 and offers tackle football ($280), flag football ($200) and cheerleading ($280). Registration includes a trophy, league photo package, yearbook and game socks. Equipment is provided on loan. 

Jersey and cheer uniform fittings are scheduled for June 4 and practice starts July 25. The first game is scheduled for Sept. 10. Home games are played at Downey and Warren high schools.
