Dear Editor: Re: Danny Wright’s letter, “Noisy Neighbors,” on Jan. 8.

I live in a 30-unit apartment building. Several years ago when it was under a different management company, we had an irresponsible on-site manager who condoned loud music, loud noise, fireworks, and any other kind of disturbing noise any inconsiderate tenant could come up with.

Being a responsible and considerate person, the situation almost drove me out of my home. Several times I almost decided to move but now I’m glad I toughed it out.

We now have a good management company and a wonderful on-site, no-nonsense manager. Disturb your neighbor and you’re out on your can — eviction notice!

Unfortunately, it seems the two words — consideration and responsibility — aren’t in some people’s vocabulary. Wouldn’t it be a much better society if they were?
