BELLFLOWER — A person was killed in a hit-and-run crash on a highway in Bellflower, authorities said Monday.

The accident occurred at around 11 p.m. Sunday at Downey Avenue on the 91 Freeway, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The victim was allegedly struck by another vehicle while changing a tire facing the highway and was reported dead at the scene, officials said.

A vehicle description was not immediately available.

Authorities urged anyone with information regarding the hit-and-run crash to call the CHP.
