DOWNEY -- John Perfitt, economic development director for Downey, will be the guest speaker at Wednesday's meeting of Citizens for Downey at the Rio Hondo Event Center.Perfitt is expected to speak on key areas of planning and development, including the Avenue Theatre and Verizon building in Downtown Downey. The meeting's new start time is 7:30 a.m. A breakfast buffet will be available for $7 per person, or $10 per couple.
