NUTmobile coming to Downey Thursday

DOWNEY — Planters’ NUTmobile — think Wienermobile but for peanuts — will be at the Albertson’s grocery store in Downey this Thursday, March 12, from 12- 5 p.m.

The 26-ft. long vehicle will be celebrating the birth of Baby Nut, who debuted in a Super Bowl commercial last month.

The NUTmobile debuted in 1935 and is driven by young men and women known as “Peanutters.” A sighting of the NUTmobile is rare, as there are only three NUTmobiles in existence, crisscrossing the country.
