April 4, 1935 - April 8, 2021

Norman L. Shelton, son of Leonard Leroy Shelton and Reta Higgins was born on April 4, 1935 in Elsinore, Utah. Norm was the youngest of 7 children, being the only son with 6 older sisters. Norm enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing pranks with his cousins, nephews and childhood friends. At Marysvale High School Norm excelled in sports playing both basketball and baseball, helping the Basketball Team to a League Championship. This was not easy considering there was only 6 players on the basketball team out of a 1953 Graduating Class of 11.

A few years after graduating high school, Norm enlisted in the US Air Force.

He traveled the world as an US Air Force Military Policeman, also competing on the US Air Force Pistol Team. After returning home he met his future wife, Sharon Marlene Davis of Boise, Idaho and her daughter, Robin.

Norm moved with his wife, Sharon and daughter, Robin Christine Shelton to Huntington Park, California in 1959. In 1960, Norm and Sharon welcomed twin sons, Paul Edward Shelton and Mark Leonard Shelton. In 1961 Norm moved the family into their own home in Norwalk, California, where they made many memories. Norm instilled a proud work ethic and love of sports into the family, coaching his son’s and neighborhood friends to many baseball, football and basketball championships. Later in life Norm enjoyed playing poker with his friends almost every weekend. He also loved traveling to Las Vegas and the Barona Casino to have fun.

Norm was a man who was ALWAYS there to support his children and grandchildren. He attended Little League Baseball, Bobby Sox Softball , Pop Warner Football, Dance Recitals and Competitions to College Baseball and College Softball. He was our family’s Biggest Fan!

Three days after celebrating his 86th Birthday with his family, they all came together again for one last time to share his last moments before being welcomed into heaven by his family of Angels, Mark, Robin and Sharon on April 8, 2021.

Norman is survived by his son, Paul Shelton, wife, Rosie and daughter in law, Candie Shelton. Grandchildren, Joshua (wife Kari), Katrina, Tyler (wife Melissa), Mason, Marc, Brandice Khamis and Brittany Shelton. Great Grandchildren: Brooklyn, Jaxson, Wyatt, Peyton, Maverick and Hunter Shelton, Zachary, and Jayden Shelton.
