LONG BEACH - The Stephen Sondheim musical thriller, "Sweeney Todd," opens Jan. 30 and closes Feb. 14 at the Carpenter Performing Arts Center in Long Beach.Sweeney Todd, the demon barber of Fleet Street, embarks on a plot to slice his way through London's upper crust with the help of his crafty neighbor, Mrs. Lovett, enacting revenge upon those who have committed injustices upon him and his family.
