DOWNEY — Multiple Downey businesses are reported to have more than three lab-confirmed cases of coronavirus, according to data on Los Angeles County’s Covid-19 webpage.

The list includes more than 500 workplaces, food and retail stores, and other entities.

The Kaiser Permanente Central Refill Pharmacy Center sits atop those in Downey who were listed, with 45 confirmed staff members having tested positive.

Chick-fil-A follows with 21 confirmed cases.

Penske Toyota of Downey reported 17 staff members as having contracted the virus. Not far behind is Best Buy and Home Depot, which both are listed as having 15.

Honda World Service and Parts Center has reported seven confirmed employee cases.

The LA County Library Administrative Office, Liberty Ambulance LLC., and Downey Fire Station 3 are all also listed.

Earlier this week, health officials began recommending that those who must leave home for work or other essential services and live with someone who is at a higher risk for a more severe infection should wear a face covering even while at home.
