CERRITOS - The Cerritos Regional Chamber of Commerce will host the 2012 Miss Cerritos contest on March 13 at the Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts.Miss Cerritos is not a pageant, organizers said, but a "professional development opportunity for young women." "We are looking for professional, outgoing, responsible, articulate young women to represent the Chamber as an ambassador throughout the year," Chamber officials said in a press release. Women must be a high school graduate or equivalent, no older than 27, and live, work or go to school in Cerritos, or work for a business that is a member of the Cerritos Regional Chamber of Commerce. Women interested in participating in the Miss Cerritos contest should call the chamber by Feb. 23 at (562) 467-0800. Sponsorship opportunities are also available.
