DOWNEY - Downey resident and ordained minister Lisa Marie Ives will speak to Temple Ner Tamid's congregation Friday evening, June 29, regarding her recent successful Israel advocacy trip to Washington D.C.Ives is the national outreach coordinator for CIPAC (Christians' Israel Public Action Campaign) an organization dedicated to empowering grass-root efforts of citizens in effective communication to government officials. Ives met with 19 representatives and staff during her trip. Reverend Ives is also affiliated with Leaders After God's Heart Ministries in Downey. The lecture will be part of regular Friday night Shabbat services beginning at 7:30 p.m. Ives will remain for a question and answer discussion period after services when light refreshments will be served.
