Mental Health Awareness Month: 3 ways to support CFGC

The month of May is recognized as Mental Health Awareness Month. This year, Community Family Guidance Center (CFGC), a children's mental health provider, is inviting you to participate in one or all of our campaigns through May.

Getting involved is easy and will have an extraordinary impact on the children of Southeast Los Angeles.

Double Your Donation – During the entire month of May, donate via www.cfgcenter.com/fronks-gives, and Fronk's Restaurant (Bellflower) will match your gift dollar for dollar up to $25,000 total. Exclusions apply. Donations may not be CFGC Golf Tournament Sponsorships or "Eat to Treat a Kid" donations.

Eat to Treat a Kid – Is a three-day fundraising event hosted by local restaurants that support our mental health services. On Monday, May 24 – Wednesday, May 26, visit Ricci's Italian Restaurant (Bellflower), Mr. Rosewoods (Norwalk), and Antojitos Mexicanos (Paramount) and mention “Eat to Treat a Kid Fundraiser”. Each restaurant will donate 20%-25% of your total receipt to our Family Wellness Programs. Follow our social media pages for more information or visit www.cfgcenter.com/eat-to-treat-a-kid

Share Your Story – One of the best ways to beat the stigma surrounding mental health challenges is to keep the topic in the conversation. The more people are willing to share their own personal experiences with mental health challenges, the easier it is for others struggling to see and believe that they are not alone. You can share your story with those in your life, such as family and friends. Or, you can share your story online to try to reach more people. Please tag Community Family Guidance Center or include #childrensmentalhealthmatters and #CFGC
