Downey resident and Cal Poly Pomona student Matthew Stafford met with Rep. Lucille Roybal-Allard to thank her on behalf of the American Planning Association for her support of critical federal housing and transportation programs. Stafford traveled to Washington, D.C. as part of the association's Planner's Day on Capitol Hill. A senior, Stafford is studying urban and regional planning and plans to pursue a career in urban planning and public policy following graduation in the spring. A native of Downey, Stafford graduated from Warren High School in 2008.
