DOWNEY - Marjorie Jeanne Sadofsky, born Sept. 11, 1922, in Evansville, Ind., to Orval and Marguarite Black, passed away Dec. 6 at the age of 87.She worked in the war department in Washington, D.C. during World War II. Later, she was employed at the Abco Hardware store where she worked for 30 years. She is survived by her daughters, Phyllis and Barbara; and grandsons, Steven and Michael. Services will be held in her honor today at Downey Zrelak Family Mortuary. Interment will follow at Rose Hills Memorial Park in Whittier.
